Shea Blanchard is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Laguna Beach, CA who attends Laguna Beach. Lean, athletic build. Arm works well on the mound from an OT arm slot. Downhill plane to FB with good, late bite to his breaking ball. Projects for more velo. 7.38 60-yd. Solid defensive actions in the outfield. Catches ball cleanly with smooth ball transfer. Athleticism plays well throughout fielding actions. Showcased fairly strong arm with solid carry through the target. Was on target majority of the time. Even base with leg kick timing mechanism in the box. Flashed quality bat speed at times. Strength helps generate above-average raw power that plays to the pullside. Cleaning up the bat path to drive the ball in the air will help the power play more consistently during game action. Has potential to become a power bat. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
