Tyler Wilson is a 2023 LHP/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Marina. Features a lean, compact build. Primary left-handed pitcher. Tall and fall delivery moves efficiently down the mound. The delivery is repeated well due to advanced athleticism. Short arm action moves effortlessly through the arm swing. The fastball topped at 83 mph with lift through the zone. The offering worked well at the top of the zone. Paired the heater with a mid-60’s curveball with tight action. Displayed the ability to throw both for strikes often. Is a projectable arm that moves very well for age. Also ran a 7.39 60-yard. Flashed some defensive ability in the outfield with clean glove actions and the ability to charge the ball. The arm played from the outfield with solid accuracy. Utilizes an open stance setup at the plate. Flashed some bat speed throughout short, compact stroke. Natural loft allowed the ball to jump off the bat on occasion. Very good student, as well.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
