Sabastian Ugalde is a 2023 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Huntington Beach, CA who attends Edison. The large athletic built LHP/1B shoed comfortable glove work with strong accurate arm to the bases. At the plate, the set up is upright with narrow base. The load is a small hanging leg kick with bat path that is slightly lofted. The approach favors the pull side with present strength to drive balls in that direction. On the mound, the delivery is up tempo with simple leg lift and clean arm stroke. He utilizes sizable lowers in his motion. He commanded both sides with the fastball which made a true wipeout slider play even better. The breaker he featured produced whiffs in bunches. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
