Joshua Newton is a 2026 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 159 lb. frame from Westfield, IN who attends University High Sch Of Indiana. Medium young build with some strength for his size and more to come. Right handed hitter, hits from an open stance and a balanced load, has a short toe tap and stride into contact, well timed and consistent swing approach, has some hand quickness and bat speed, short to the ball and long through contact, gap to gap line drive contact, has the hitting tools and approach to continue to develop as he matures physically. 7.26 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has efficient lateral movements and good footwork, takes good angles to the ball, stays balanced and has clean glove actions through the ball, has rhythm and pace to his defensive actions, some developing arm strength. Very sound fundamental player for his age on both sides of the ball. Good student.
