Ryan Barlow is a 2023 RHP/1B/3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Lk Ronkonkoma, NY who attends Sachem North. Barlow, a primary RHP who works from a medium athletic build, displayed a quick extended arm action from a 3/4 slot on the mound. He controlled the tempo of the game well utilizing a slide step effectively to hold runners at bay while efficiently mixing a FB up to 78 mph with a 12-6 breaker showing looping shape. He fielded his position well, which is no surprise considering Barlow is a secondary INF where he flashed good range up the middle with athletic movements. Offensively, Barlow started from an open stance with line drives from gap to gap. He used a hover trigger to create carry and backspin on the baseball. Ran a 7.58 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
