Willoughby Puryear is a 2026 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Trumansburg, NY who attends Charles O Dickerson. Works from a medium compact frame with longer limbs and physical upside. Primary left-handed pitcher, utilizes a quick-paced full wind-up delivery, starts with the hands around the chest, releases from a three-quarters slot, commanded the fastball well, showed some arm side run and topped out at 77 mph, mixed in a slurvy breaking ball with good horizontal break and late depth, flashed a changeup that slowed up barrels, tunnels his mix well, projects for an uptick in velocity as he continues to physically mature. Secondary first baseman, works through the baseball well, stays fairly light on the feet, gets rid of the ball quickly, has some compact arm speed, delivered accurate throws, recorded arm strength up to 80 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts in a wider base with a compact hand set and low back elbow, utilizes a simple leg lift trigger and flat hand path, gets rotational at times, produced line drives to the middle of the field when timed up, recorded an exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.41 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
