David Carioto is a 2026 LHP/OF with a 5-9 130 lb. frame from Weston, CT who attends St. Luke's. Carioto works from a young lean build as a primary LHP with plenty of room/time to fill out the frame. Starting from the 3B side of the rubber on the bump, Carioto displayed a full arm action with in line mechanics down the mound to ultimately top out at 72 mph. The lefty effectively worked the corners with developing velocity and promise to the arsenal with a CB that provided a nice change of pace to keep hitters honest. He also worked from the OF where he got behind the ball successfully and produced accurate throws on the bag up to 74 mph. Offensively, Carioto started from a slightly open stance with a compact hand set and some hover to the leg trigger to produce consistent line drive contact to the middle pull side of the field. Power potential is developing with contact tool evident. Ran a 8.31 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
