2022 Sunshine Midwest Showcase
Brooks Richardson is a 2023 C/3B, SS with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Salina, KS who attends Salina High Central. Medium size physical frame. Ran a 7.23 70-yard dash. Primary catcher with a square set up behind the plate, quick feet to pop us, clean transition to throw and a quick arm with short arm action on throws that had on line carry and consistent accuracy on the bag. Showed some developing footwork in the infield with hands that work through the baseball out front and above average arm strength. Hit from a square base with load stride timing at the plate. Swings uphill, still getting in sync with the backside rotation, has some strength in the swing to impact the baseball when he gets to the barrel. Great student. Named to Sunshine Midwest Top Prospect List.
