2022 Mid-Atlantic Prospect Showcase
Andrew Benvenuto is a 2023 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Berkeley Heights, NJ who attends Union Catholic. High-waisted, long build with lean muscle present throughout his frame with some more strength remaining to be added. Primary left-handed pitcher, worked with a full wind-up, coming to a balance point with a coiled belt-high leg-lift. Comes across his body with a 3/4 slot, creating some deception against opposing hitters. Worked both sides of the plate with his heater, sitting in the 77-80 mph range, holding throughout his three-innings of work. Mixes his fastball-slider well, generating weak contact as he missed barrels. Slider showed sweeping action through the zone with horizontal tilt, landing it for strikes in various counts. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
