Joshua Roof is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Redmond, WA who attends Redmond. He has a large frame with a lanky build and room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.18 seconds. Primary outfielder that approaches the ball confidently and fields it out front well. He has a long arm action and throws from a high slot. He has a fluid motion and the frame to unlock more velocity on his throws. Consistently made accurate throws. Secondary right-handed pitcher that has a belt high leg kick and does a nice job of pushing down the mound. He creates torque with his leg kick and sits into his back hip well. He has a long arm action and fires from a high 3/4 arm slot. He sometimes gets on the side of his fastball giving it cutting action. His curveball has 12-6 shape with plenty of depth. He showed comfort in the breaker, throwing it for strikes consistently. Right-handed hitter that starts with an even base and an upright stance with low hands and a low back elbow. He has a simple, rotational swing that has an uphill path. He showed nice hand quickness that results in good bat speed. He has a line drive approach and made his best contact staying up the middle. Very good student.
