Michael Olsen is a 2024 LHP/1B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Castro Valley, CA who attends Castro Valley. Long, lean build with good length to both halves that project well going forward. Ran a 7.42 in the 60-yard dash. Left-handed pitcher, works into a high-three quarter slot and medium arm circle. Fastball reached the high-70s with feel for a 1-7 breaking ball with late shape and depth. Can mix and match and work both ways on the hill with more velocity in store. First baseman, has softness to the hands and works a shorter slot to the bag. Good arm and quick transfer. Left-handed hitter, even base and wider setup. Shows present strength at impact with the ability to match the barrel and work it to the pull side. Good power projection with more in the frame. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
