Roman Rangel is a 2026 3B/RHP, C, 1B with a 5-11 280 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Paschal. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength throughout. Ran a 9.08 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front with bend at waist, shorter steps moving towards the ball, deliberate tempo to actions, showed ability to drop slot going up the middle, footwork and arm strength will continue to develop moving forward. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, higher leg lift up past belt, steady tempo throughout working with a tight arm action from ear and a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, tends to open front side early, short sinking life to the heater through zone; will continue to develop a consistent feel for curveball up to 65 mph. Left-handed hitter, utilizes a big stride moving into contact and employs a toe tap trigger for timing. Handsy swing and shows strength in them, shows ability to impact ball to the right-center field, occasionally mistimed in lower half, easy impact when squared.
