Jamie Groshong is a 2023 MIF/RHP with a 5-10 164 lb. frame from Fair Oaks, CA who attends Bella Vista. Lean and athletic frame. Ran a 7.02 second 60-yard dash. Primary middle-infielder, solid footwork on the dirt, plays with confidence to both sides with good movement laterally, smooth glove with clean funnels, showed some struggles with accuracy but plenty of arm clocked up to 88 mph across. Also pitched, simple delivery, works through a three-quarters slot getting downhill some with it, runs it well into the low-80s, showed strong feel for breaking ball, tight spin and late bite to get swing-and-miss while also showing a slider, threw plenty of strikes. Lefthanded hitter, open start and moves in well, has some quickness to it, able to get the barrel out front often and work to the pull side, will get to the barrel often and showed flashes of good impact to pull but more contact-oriented as he physically projects. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
