Alec Wombolt is a 2023 SS with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley. Lean athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 6.96 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder who showed good body control working through the ball, has a quick first step and good lateral quickness, arm showed some carry across the field, can get his glove in fielding position earlier for softer hands. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread slightly open stance, swing is short to the ball, gets good lower half drive to help generate bat speed, has some uphill plane at contact and showed some pullside lift and ability to drive the ball with backspin, projects well as a hitter. Excellent student.
