Declan Boyce is a 2027 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-5 150 lb. frame from Naperville, IL who attends Naperville Central. Recorded a 7.79 second sixty yard dash time. Primary shortstop, fields out front with two hands and takes multiple steps into release. Shows some feel for the glove and a general understanding of the position at present, will continue to smooth out the actions with time. Secondary right-handed pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch with a very simple and compact delivery. Utilizes drop and drive lower half mechanics and a medium-length arm circle that comes through clean. Pitched to contact and got outs during his outing, velocity tended to fluctuate. Flashed a change up and a curveball, both of which he could throw for strikes. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open stance and a toe tap trigger with a slight leg lift. Bat gets vertical at launch, utilizes a direct hand path and gets everything synced up well with the hands and lower half. Displayed a middle of the field approach, and has limited impact at present, but will continue to grow into more power and develop his bat speed as he gets stronger. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
