John Izzo is a 2023 C/SS with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Valencia, CA who attends Trinity Classical Academy. Athletic build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Primary catcher that threw a 2.02 down to second base. Has a low side saddle set up, with a quick transition displaying accurate throws. Has soft hands with good footwork, gains ground on his throws. Right-handed hitter, hits from an even base with a big leg kick, hands load back. Flashed the ability to drive the ball up the middle, has a soft swing but showed the ability to constantly square the ball up. Good student.
