Rocco Serafino is a 2024 RHP/C/3B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Pulaski, PA who attends Wilmington Area. Larger build with good present strength. Works from a full wind up on the mound, slow tempo/step by step mechanics with a compact high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, mostly straight with occasional heaviness down in the zone. Tends to get underneath his curveball and aim the pitch, flashed sharp 11/5 movement when he got over top of it out front. Also developing a split finger change up. Played third base on defense when not on the mound, fielded the ball cleanly with soft hands and showed the ability to make accurate throws from multiple arm slots and a compact arm action. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a coiled upper half start, minimal lower half shift into contact but gets into his back hip well and creates some rotational torque, mid field line drive contact with some strength at contact. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
