Finn Whalen is a 2024 3B/RHP, 1B with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from San Francisco, CA who attends St. Ignatius College Prep. Medium build with a strong, defined frame to both halves. Ran a 7.64 in the 60-yard dash. Infielder, projects well for third base with a strong arm from an over-the-top release. Gets the glove down and works through the ball. Arm strength also showed during first base drills with quick plays on the turn. Right-handed pitcher, high set into a high three-quarter release that he repeats with good balance. Ran the fastball up to the low-80s that sneaked by hitters and showed great feel for the curveball in any count. Right-handed hitter, even base and toe tap load. Linear path that gets extended well. Good intent to the pull side when squared and uses his strong levers well. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
