Chas Welch is a 2023 OF/MIF with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Spartanburg, SC who attends Dorman. Medium frame with an athletic build. Ran a 7.12 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, working into the baseball under control as he showed off some range. Clean gather and works into a quick release. Uphill as he looked to carry the baseball to target. Accurate around the bag as he threw it 80 mph during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread out with high hands behind the ear. Little to no separation as he fires the hands through the zone. Stays linear as he looked to drive it middle-away. Will make strides as he cleans some things up mechanically at the dish as the hands work. Great Student.
