Jayden Teruel is a 2024 SS/RHP, 3B, UT with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Santa Teresa. Medium athletic built shortstop that put on a clinic up the middle both in game and in defensive workouts. The lateral mobility is swift with a quick first step. He preps well pre pitch with glove that can play at any level, the arm isnt overly strong yet but is enough to play left of second. At the plate, he sets up with wide spread base and works it into a coiling load. Advanced feel for the barrel with approach that works middle to pull. Not afraid to turn and launch on mistake pitches over the heart. On the mound, Hands start at chin with a full turn and average leg kick, Fastball has quickness from the deception in the delivery. Hides the ball well. Curve is a definite out pitch, jumps at the hitter then drops with 12/6 depth. Change had a little arm-side late movement and some good sink , could be a very nice third option. The secondary stuff is very good, more strength ahead then look out. The 2024 grad has room for growth and has a head for the game. 7.66 60-yard.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
