Ty Mitzel is a 2024 2B/ with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Sunnyslope. Medium build. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.12 seconds. Primary middle infielder, Showed some athleticism, moved well laterally to both sides of the ball. Worked through the ball with smooth hands and quick feet, displayed accurate throws with slight carry. Was clocked up to 72 mph on throws across the diamond. At the plate, hits from a wide open stance with a small leg kick and a high back elbow. Displayed a linear path with a pull side approach, showed a good feel for the barrel and decent bat speed. Consistently drove the ball on a line to all fields. Excellent student.
