LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2023 13U/14U Sunshine West Showcase
Owen Digenan is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 6-2 172 lb. frame from Poway, CA who attends Poway. Outstanding young athletic build, projects very well physically. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a calm load and shift, stays quiet and controlled and explodes well into contact, ball jumps well and he got the ball in the air consistently. 7.18 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, comes to the ball aggressively and works through hops with good footwork, compact arm action with plenty of carry for his age across the diamond. Also worked out in the outfield and looked very good there. Took a turn on the mound, has energy in his delivery and gets into his lower half well working down the mound, 3/4's arm action. Worked the bottom of the zone well with a fastball that topped out at 81 mph with some arm side running life. Curveball was a solid second pitch for him with 1/7 shape and some depth. Very good all around athlete who is going to keep getting better. Named to the 13U/14U Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List.
