2023 Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Caulin Pighetti is a 2024 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-6 185 lb. frame from Pueblo, CO who attends Pueblo County. Pighetti provided value at a range of defensive spots over the course of his event, starting as a primary 1B showcasing agile footwork and quick turns with the ability to change slots when needed. He made plays asked of him with solid carry across the diamond up to 84 mph. In the OF, the clean arm action continued with good downhill momentum generated, topping out at 83 mph. Pighetti also worked off the mound, displaying a middle of the rubber slightly staggered start with a compact operation and 3/4 slot. He has further room to work into the lower half and create drive with evident spin and vertical depth on the breaker up to 2426 rpm. Offensively, the left handed hitter started from an open stance with some hover to the leg trigger flashing intent to create lift in the bat path and generate impact to the pull side of the field. Expect hard contact to become more consistent as the stroke shortens up. Posted an exit velo of 81 mph. Ran a 7.05 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
