2022 Summer Northeast Showcase (Wed-Thurs)
Michael Gagliardi is a 2023 SS/2B/MIF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Buchanan, NY who attends Hendrick Hudson. Gagliardi proved to be an all around athlete over the course of the event, providing value at multiple spots with projectability still remaining in the frame. From the IF, he showcased smooth glove work with solid lateral quickness as well as the ability to change slots on the run. He topped out at 78 mph across the diamond with further room to see that number go up as he refines. On the mound, Gagliardi flashed feel for spin, utilizing a FB/CB mix to pound the zone and record outs efficiently from a 3/4 slot. Offensively, the righty started from a wider open stance with compact hands and hover in the load to generate line drive contact to all parts of the field. Posted an exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.62 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
