Alex Griffin is a 2027 3B/C, 1B, SS with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Union, MO who attends St. Francis Borgia. Recorded a 7.95 second sixty yard dash time. Big and stocky frame with definite strength/physicality present. Primary third baseman, bends at the waist to field and gets the ball out quick. Segmented actions at present, moves well for his size/strength and fits in at a corner position, had a clean round overall. Right-handed hitter with a narrow stance and a high back elbow set, utilizes a leg lift trigger. Creates hard impact when getting the barrel out front, showed the ability to create lift and certainly has power potential. Produced loud contact to his pull side during the game as he crushed a double deep down the left field line. Gets over his front side at times, will continue to improve as he stays engaged/grounded with the lower half while moving forward.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
