Kelly is the second player from the state of Oregon to be named a Perfect Game All-American, although in retrospect his brother Carson, a 2012 second round pick by the Cardinals, was worthy of the honor as well. He is a strong, broad shouldered versatile player who plays shortstop now, can play third base and even catch some, along with being able to hit 90 mph with a sharp slider from the mound. Kelly’s future impact tool could be his righthanded power potential.
