Thomas has had plenty of exposure to big league baseball, as his father, Allen, is the strength and conditioning coach for the Chicago White Sox. He's a very quick-twitch athlete who could end up playing college football and was an accomplished basketball player before recently dropping the sport. Thomas' best tool on the baseball field, other than his athleticism, is his lefthanded bat, which combines both high average traits and surprising power. He compares favorably to Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner.
