Jonathan Hughes is a 2015 RHP/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Flowery Branch, GA who attends Flowery Branch HS. Athletic build and actions, projects well physically. Long extended arm action, 3/4's release point, balanced delivery with good tempo, repeats well. Fastball to 89 mph, good arm side run at times, shows the ability to elevate his fastball above hitters hands with intent. Quality off speed stuff, advanced feel for his change up with good arm speed, lots of change up life. Changes speeds and break on curveball with maturity, more of a sweeping shape, good bite and spin. Works quickly and has pitchability/mound presence. Has all the ingredients to be a top level national prospect as he develops. Good student.
