Alden Segui is a 2021 RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit. Big and strong athletic build. Works from the stretch with a compact and quick arm action, high energy at release but has refined his delivery well since last observed. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 95-96 mph early, fastball is mostly straight, has gained significant velocity over the past year. Has some deception to a a power slider that was up to 84 mph mph, hitters didn't recognize it well and it improved throughout his outing. Present reliever profile with obvious arm strength. Very good student, verbal commitment to North Carolina.
