Logan de Groot is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Coto De Caza, CA who attends Santa Margarita Catholic. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and lots of physical projection with room to fill throughout moving forward. Strong runner, posted a 6.54 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball on approach, works into a looser/quick arm stroke through the front side, high lead arm with a three-quarters slot, ball comes out of hand well with carry to the intended base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Explosive hands in swing and able to generate some serious juice off of the barrel. Long and strong stroke and utilizes length well to create leverage at the point of contact, lots of hard contact consistently off of the barrel. Very good student. Verbal commitment to UCLA.
