Cole Baker (RHP, 3B, 1B, 2015, Dallas Center-Grimes HS, Grimes, IA) who is an Iowa commit threw 3 innings for Purple team threw from a 3/4 arm slot. Baker topped at 87 mph with a loose, easy AA. He also flashed an 11-5 good depth and sharpness CB at 73 mph. He finished his outing with 3 strikeouts.
Philip Giudici (RHP, OF, 2016, Dowling Catholic HS, Clive, IA) also had 3 strikeouts in his two innings pitched. Giudici threw from a 3/4 arm slot and continued to pound the zone in both innings. He topped at 74 MPH and complimented his FB with a 12-6 CB that sat at 58 MPH.

John Magnuson (MIF, 2015, East HS, Elk Run Heights, IA) showed a simple approach at the plate with two singles in the game. He also showed some pop in his bat.
Anthony Schneider (SS, 2014, Southeast Polk HS, Altoona, IA) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed a smooth swing and barrels the ball up each time.
Zach Stewart (MIF, 2016, Dowling Catholic HS, Clive, IA) hit the ball well each time up, also had a pair of singles in the game. He hit from an open stance and showed the ability to hit to all parts of the field.
Nick Biancalana (RHP, 2014, Roosevelt HS, Des Moines, IA) threw from a 3/4 arm slot with smooth mechanics on the mound. His fastball sat 85-86 mph.
Quinton Bent (3B, 2015, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Mississauga, ON) hit from a slightly open stance with a line drive swing plane. He had a double in the game for the gold team.
Luke Farley (OF, 2015, Columbus HS, Denver, IA) showed off his smooth swing with good bat speed and barrels the ball up each time.

Teal vs Vegas Gold Game Highlights

Trey Bronner (SS, RHP, 2015, Cedar Falls, Cedar Falls, IA) threw 2 innings for the Vegas Gold team. Bronner threw from a 3/4 slot and long AA. He combined his 79 mph FB with a 68 mph CB and 71 CH. Bronner was extremely effective in keeping hitters off balanced as he finished his outing without giving up a hit. He struckout 3 of the 6 hitters he faced.
Brendan Dougherty (3B, RHP, 2016, Dowling Catholic HS, Clive, IA) impressed in his 2 innings of work finishing with 4 strikeouts. He threw from a short AA and a deceptive delivery that kept hitters guessing until the very last minute. His FB topped at 75 mph.
Kace Massner (OF, RHP, 2016, Burlington Community, Burlington, IA) barreled up well crushing a 2B in his first AB. He had loose hands and an easy swing with good backside drive.
Riley Braughton (SS, OF, C, 2015 North Cedar HS, Stanwood, IA) was able to consistently barrel up the ball this weekend. Braughton kept his hands in a strong slot position and made very solid contact on a single in his 2nd AB.
Matt Cassady (OF, 2015, Bettendorf HS, Bettendorf, IA) singled in his only AB this game. He had a strong hand setup, pull approach, quiet load and setup.
Royal vs White Game Highlights

Jordan Hoey (SS, RHP, 2016, Dowling Catholic HS, Des Moines, IA) started the game for Royal and threw 2 innings. Hoey threw 3 pitches for strikes with a FB that topped at 74 mph. He finished his outing without giving up a single run or hit and had 3 K's.
JD Williams (SS, OF, 2015, David Suzuki, Brampton, CAN) showed some serious pop with his bat in his 2nd AB of the game with a LD double off the wall to LCF. Williams has a ton of batspeed and the ball explodes off the barrel. Williams also made some very nice ranging plays in the OF the entire game.
Travis Wacker (C, OF, 2014, King's Christian Collegiate, Oakville, ON) had a great game at the plate going 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Wacker had great barrel contact with the ability to hit to all sides of the field. Wacker also had a great catch and throw with arm strength to throw a runner out trying to steal 2nd.
Louis Baker (C, IF, 2015, Somerset College, Queesland, AUS) had some of the best defensive ability in the showcase this weekend. In game one for the White team, Baker picked 2 runners off at 1B. The arm strength in Baker is definitely one to watch out for. When Baker barrels up the sound of the ball explodes for some definite carry to deep.
Orange vs Green Game Highlights

Ty Denzer (SS, 2015, Chanhassen HS, Victoria, MN) had a triple in the game and he showed a good line drive swing plane with good bat speed at the plate.
Nick Morreale (C, 2015, St Thomas Academy, Lake Elmo, MN) had a double in the game, he showed a good bat path to the ball with lift in his swing. Nick also pitched in the game with his fastball sitting at 82-84 touched 85 mph.
Grant Judkins (RHP, 2016, Pella HS, Pella, IA) threw from a 3/4 arm slot with good extension. His fastball sat 81-85 mph with a curveball at 69 mph.
Parker Sniatynski (RHP, 2014, Marquette University HS, Brookfield, WI) showed good arm strength on the mound, with simple pitching mechanics. His fastball sat 81-84 mph.
Nolan Burchill (3B, 2016, Lincoln HS, Sioux Falls, SD) had a pair of singles in the game with an RBI for the Orange team. He showed a good approach at the plate with the ability to drive the ball the other way.
Brody Gugat (1B, 2016, North HS, Sioux City, IA) had a pair of singles in the game with a run scored. He showed good bat control at the plate with a line drive swing plane.

2014 LHP Michael Peters (Coal Valley, IL, Rock Island HS) was dominant for 2 innings retiring all 6 batters he faced with 4 strikeouts. His fastball was up to 91 mph and he showed nice feel for a sharp curveball. He pounded the zone today and showed good command.
2015 Drew Denkinger (Johnston, IA, Valley HS) was next for the green team and tossed 2 more dominant inning also retiring all 6 batters he faced with 5 punch outs. His fastball was 85-88 mph with an easy online delivery. Sharp curveball at 72 mph and showed good command with all of his pitches.
2015 Miller Hogan Overland Park, KS, Blue Valley Southwest HS) struck out 4 batters in 2 innings running his fastball up to 86 mph. He showed a sharp curveball at times and showed good feel for his change up which had good action.
2016 Grant Judkins (Pella, IA HS) continued to really impress with the bat and ripped a double in the game. Big upside at the plate.

Preston showed four pitches on the mound, his fastball sat 81-85 with a curveball at 68 mph, slider at 72 mph and a knuckle ball at 69 mph.
Conner Morro (SS, 2015, Mayfield Secondary School, Caledon, ON) had four hits in the game. He showed good bat speed with a good swing plane and squared the ball up well.
