Orange vs Steel Low Game Highlights

6/8/2014

Noah McDaniel (2015 C, Laguna Nisel, CA) showed great actions behind the plate in the game. Did a great job blocking balls in the dirt and showed good catch and throw skills. 

John Ferogila (2016 2B, Los Altos, CA) showed a good approach at the plate with good pitch recognition. 

Charlie Verrone (2016 SS, Alta Loma, CA) showed good hands in the field with smooth fielding actions. He showed a good approach at the plate with good power in his bat.

Clayton Dale (2015 OF, Fallbrook, CA) showed plus power to all fields in the game with good plate coverage and lift in his swing.

Ben Martz (2017 C, Thousand Oaks, CA) showed great actions behind the plate with a good base behind the plate and a good catch and throw.


Cardinal vs Dark Green Game Highlights

6/8/2014

2015 RHP Pono Anderson (Pearl City, HI) dominated his first three innings on the mound, retiring the first nine hitters he faced in order with four strikeouts. His fastball sat in the 82-85 mph range and he backed it with a hard sweeping curveball up to 74 and a changeup with fading action at 76. 

2015 1B Dillon Paulson (San Marcos, CA) went 1-for-2 with a loud double at the plate, showing the ability to utilize his impressive raw power in game swings. He also worked three scoreless innings on the mound, striking out four and topping out at 82 mph. 

2016 LHP Max Mehlbaum (Van Nuys, CA) punched out five of the 9 hitters he faced over three innings, topping out at 82 mph from an over the top arm slot with a sharp downhill plane. 

2015 MIF Cole Weaver (Carlsbad, CA) went 2-for-3, as did 2015 1B/OF Kyle Stewart (Ladera Ranch, CA) and 2018 OF Grant Burton (San Juan Capistrano, CA).

Maroon vs Navy Game Highlights

Anthony Lepre (C-2015-Agua Dulce, CA) showed nice strength in his swing and a quick bat, turning on an inside fastball, driving it over the left field fence for a home run. 

Trevor Mullaney (RHP-2015-Henderson, NV) showed well on the mound, topping out at 85 mph with his fastball from a high three-quarter arm slot, living in the 82-84 mph range. He has a strong feel for his 11-5 curveball with depth which he threw 67-69 mph. 

Abbot Haffar (RHP-2017-Simi Valley, CA)
is a a young right-hander who had a strong showing on the mound and projects for more velocity as he continues to fill out. He shows a loose, whippy arm action from a lower three-quarter slot and topped out at 85 mph with nice run to his arm side. 

Geoff McCalley (OF-2016-San Diego, CA) and Harrison Grow (3B-2017-Del Mar, CA) each provided some offense of the Navy team. McCalley picked up a double and Grow had two singles, showing the ability to hit to the opposite field. 

Kyle Hurt (RHP/1B-2017-Rancho Santa Fe, CA) had a nice outing on the mound yesterday and did well with the bat today, lining a double up the middle in his first at bat of the game today. 

Kenneth Haus (RHP-2016-Rancho Palos Verdes, CA)
topped out at 82 mph with his fastball, working in the 79-82 mph range from a long arm action. He gets run on his fastball and mixed all three of his pitches well to keep batters off balance.

Nick Gallardo (1B/RHP-2016-San Diego, CA) worked from an over the top arm slot and was able to generate some downhill plane on his fastball which topped at 84 mph and sat in the low 80s. His curveball flashes 11-5 life and worked it between 65-68 mph. 

Gold vs White Game Highlights

Brent Bell (LHP-2015-Fullerton, CA) helped his own cause on the mound, picking up a single while at bat. On the mound, the big left-hander showed a feel for 3 pitches from a balanced delivery and topped out at 76 mph with his fastball.

Louis Tade (OF-2015-Murrieta, CA) stood out for his defensive in the outfield, covering a lot of ground in centerfield which was made possible by the solid reads he was getting off the bat. 

Christian Hammar (LHP-2016-Riverside, CA) came out showing some heat from the left side, topping out at 85 mph with very good, late arm side run on the pitch. He also showed a big breaking curveball and a changeup at 72 mph to go along nicely with a cutter at 79/80 mph. He was hard to square up and lived comfortably in the lower half of the strike zone. 

Luis Pantoja (RHP-2015-Santa Maria, CA) has broad shoulders and a projectable frame and attacked hitter with his fastball which topped at 82 mph. The pitch shows nice arm side run and will continue to add velocity as he fills out. His curveball shows 11-5 life in the lower 70s. 

Zach Gillissie (OF-2017-Norco, CA) showed interesting strength in his right-handed swing, barreling a home run to left field, making a loud sound off the bat. Later in the game, Gillissie drove the ball hard to the left center field gap for a double. 

Sam Neufeld (SS-2015-Indio, CA) picked up a couple of base hits in the game and showed a sound approach at the plate, keeping his hands back on a 68 mph curveball and drove the ball. He also moves well at shortstop with a strong arm across the infield. 

Joseph Fresques (C-2016-Fontana, CA) had one of the loudest hit balls of the game, driving a ball over the left field fence for a two-run home run. 

Gabe Barthelmass (OF-2016-Laguna Niguel, CA) showed a nice feel for the barrel of the bat, collecting a double up the middle then connected for a loud out, driving the ball deep to right field

Royal vs Purple Game Highlights

6/8/2014

Evan Kaplan (RHP-2105-Carlsbad, CA) has a long, lean projectable frame with a loose arm action on the mound. Kaplan topped out at 86 mph with his fastball with good downhill plane and late arm side run to the pitch. He also showed a solid changeup in the 75-76 mph. 

Ryan Rodriguez (MIF/RHP-2017-Upland, CA) showed a short, quick swing with the bat picking up two hits and also performed well on the mound, topping out at 81 mph with a quick arm and nice run to his fastball. 

Connor Lunn (RHP-2016-Carlsbad, CA) came out firing on the mound, topping out at 88 mph with a long, loose arm action. He pounded the lower part of the strike zone regularly, mixing in both a slider, up to 75 mph, and a 69-70 mph curveball with 11-5 shape. 

Matthew Rudick (OF-2017-San Diego, CA) was a triple shy of the cycle, driving a home run over the right field fence and went with an outside fastball, driving it to the left center field gap for a standup double. 

Joe Fitzhugh (C/OF-2017-Las Vegas, NV) continued swinging a hot bat, knocking out an inside fastball over the left field fence in his first at bat of the game. He also showed sound actions behind the plate with a strong arm on his throws down. 

Dametri Evans (C-2015-Hemet, CA) showed fluid defensive actions behind the plate and drove the ball a few times to the opposite field, showing off his strength with the bat. 

Shaye Miller (MIF-2015-Valley Center, CA) and Trevor Rosenberg (MIF-2016-Carlsbad, CA) both showed a nice feel for the barrel of the bat with a balanced approach, picking up a couple of base hits a piece in the game.  

Kevin Collard (OF-2015-Vista, CA) is a very good athlete that showed well on both sides of the ball, covering vast amounts of ground in the outfield and shows quick hands form the left side, driving a double to centerfield. 

Omar Veloz (C-2017-Los Angeles, CA) moves well behind the plate and showed off a strong arm, throwing out two base runners. He also showed nicely with the bat, using a disciplined approach to pick up a couple of singles. 

Jake Munoz (OF-2016-Lewiston, ID) had performed well again in game action, this time picking up both a single and double from the left side. 

Ethan Lazar (3B-2015-Los Angeles, CA) swings from a balanced stance and uses his lower half well, evidenced by the two doubles he hit, the first down the left field line before going back up the middle for his second one. 

Nick Allen (SS-2017-San Diego, CA) showed the same defensive actions in the infield and also showed a smooth bat path with some present strength, driving a fastball to the left center field gap for a double before lining a single in his next at bat. 

5-Gold Low vs 7-Kelly Green Highlights

The following players stood out during the final game at Eastlake High School.

Tristian Duncan (2016, RHP, Lakeside,CA) had impressive debute to Perfect Game striking out 7 of the 9 batters he faced.  His fastball sat in the upper 80's and touched 90 with big arm speed.  He flashed plus slider potential and would drop down to low 3/4 to vary looks.  Duncan frame has room to fill out and add strength, he will be fun to watch over the next few years.

Anthony Inatsugu (2016, SS/C/RHP, Los Angeles, CA) pitched the final inning topping at 81 with hsi fastball.

Chris Ceballos (2015, C, Chino Hills, CA) showed good power potential in his swing with a long double off the wall.

Vince Inman (2017, 1B/OF, Huntington Beach, CA) also had a double using a nice line drive swng with lift.

Zeke Young (2015, LHP, Fallbrook, CA) the Duke committ threw an impressive 4 innings striking out 7.  His fastball topped at 87 sitting mostly 84-86.  He also mixed in a sharp 1/7 curveball at 72.

Dylan Orlando (2017, LHP, Las Vegas, NV) topped at 81 with his fastball and had good arm side run on it.

Cole Lemmel (2015, OF/3B/RHP, San Diego, CA) has solid command of his fastball which topped at 82 and he mixed in a sharp 11/5 curveball.

Blake Slagle (2015, OF/RHP, Chino Hills, CA) also topped at 82.

Jacob Bower (2017, 3B/OF, Visalia, CA)has a good line dive approach hitting a double for the Gold Low team.

Nathan Walker (2016 - Carlsbad, CA) pitched at 86-88 MPH with his fastball with a quick arm action.  He gets some run on his fastball and threw a curveball with depth at 74 MPH.  Interesting 2016 arm.  He also had a hit with 2 stolen bases.

Jake Suddleson (2016 - Pacific Palisades, CA) pitched at 82-84 MPH with his fastball and showed command of it.  He threw a curveball with some depth at 75 MPH with tight spin.  

Kevin Abel (2017 - San Diego, CA) pitched at 78-83 MPH with his fastball with a balance delivery.  He maintained good arm speed on his change up with good run to it.  Interesting young 2017 arm.

Jack Aldrich (2017 - Oak Park, CA) pitched at 77-81 MPH with his fastball with an athletic delivery.  He threw a 1/7 curveball at 73 MPH with some depth to it.  He showed command of his fastball, interesting young arm.

Alex Tovalin (2015 - Chula Vista, CA) pitched at 79-84 MPH with his fastball from a low 3/4 arm slot.  He has a lot of life on his fastball with run on it.  He maintained arm speed on his change up and showed good late bite on his slider.  

Bryce Jurries (2015 - Bonita, CA) swung the bat well and had 2 hits with a double.  He has bat speed and made hard contact.

Adam Lopez (2016 - Spring Valley, CA) had a double and RBI for the Columbia Blue team.  He stayed on the ball well in his swing.  

Marcos Campos (2015 - Upland, CA) had a double and showed good bat speed.   He has a pull approach and made hard line drive contact.


12-Red vs 14-Teal Game Highlights

6/8/2014

Bryson Spagnuolo (2016 - Fallbrook, CA) pitched at 83-87 MPH with his fastball with run to it.  He also threw a sharp curveball at 75 MPH with downer action to it.  Spagnuolo maintained good arm speed on his change up with some fade to it.  He also hit a double in the game.

Austin Buttenob (2016 - Taylorsville, UT) pitched at 82-86 MPH with his fastball from a high arm slot.  He gets some down plane action on his fastball and also throws a sharp 12/6 curveball at 73 MPH.  He showed solid command of a change up at 77 MPH with some fade.

Patrick McLoughlin (2016 - San Diego, CA) pitched at 79-83 MPH with his fastball from a balanced delivery.  He was around the plate with his fastball and threw an 11/5 curveball at 71 MPH for strikes.

Brett Lockwood (2015 - Murrieta, CA) pitched at 78-82 MPH from a low 3/4 arm slot.  He gets some run on his fastball and his change up at 72 MPH with good fade to it.  He also throws an 11/5 curveball with good tilt and depth.

David Evans (2015 - Scottsdale, AZ) showed strength in his swing and made hard contact.  He hit a double in game and showed some bat speed.

Jason Ajamian (2016 - Altadena, CA) swung the bat well having 2 hits with a double and stolen base in the game.  He has a line drive swing with lift and some bat speed.

Blake Sabol (2016 - Aliso Niguel, CA) showed good hitting tools at the plate with good bat speed.  He made hard contact at the plate and showed good catch and throw tools behind the plate.

Brett Borgogno (2017 - Chino Hills, CA) hit a double and stole a base.  He has a rotational swing and showed some bat speed.

Jake Cashman (2017 - Encinitas, CA) had 2 hits for the Teal team with a double.  He showed a flat rotational swing with a middle of the field approach.

Jake Durna (2017 SS, Chino Hills, CA) had a double in the game with a run scored.

Cameron Sterino (2017 2B, Milton, WA) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed quick hands at the plate.

Trevor Walker (2016 2B, Chino Hills, CA)  was 3 for 3 in the game with a pair of singles and a double.

Mitch Sancier (2015 RHP, Campbell, CA) fastball sat 80-83 mph. He threw from a 3/4 arm slot with short arm action. 

Jared Van Vark (2015 OF, San Diego, CA) had a double in the game. He showed good plate coverage with lift in his swing. 

Cobe Karhoff (2016 RHP, Gilbert, AZ) fastball sat 81-83 mph. He showed a very quick arm with an online delivery. He also had a triple in the game with a run scored.

Nate Moran (2015 OF, Tulare, CA) had a double in the game with an RBI.

Bradley Polinsky (2018 C, San Diego, CA) had a pair of singles in the game. He showed good bat speed and squared the ball up well.

Zack Prajzner (2018 SS, Carlsbad, CA) had a pair of singles in the game with a run scored. He showed good plate coverage.

Brandon Posivak (2016 2B, Los Angeles, CA) had a triple in the game, he showed good bat speed at the plate and squared the ball up each time.

Evan Germansky (2015 C, Los Angeles, CA) had a single in the game with a run scored. He showed good plate coverage at the plate.

Sean Korkmaz (2016 C, Newport Beach, CA) had a single in the game and lined out to the shortstop. He showed a line drive swing plane with quick hands.

Daniel Luckett (2015 C, El Cajon, CA) fastball sat 82-84 mph. He threw from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed and a curveball at 67 mph.


Navy vs Orange Game Highlights

6/7/2014

Grant Hylton (2016-LHP-San Diego, CA) did a nice job of getting on top of his fastball and working down with his low-80s fastball which topped out at 84 mph. He attacks both sides of the plate and showed a good feel for a sharp 1-7 curveball at 73 mph. 

Nathan Madden (2015-RHP-Huntington Beach, CA) showed the best velocity of the game, topping out at 87 mph and maintained mid-80s heat throughout the game. He shows a fast, loose arm and throws strikes with all three pitches, including a curveball in the low 70s and a changeup with fading life at 78 mph. 

Kyle Hurt (2017-RHP-Rancho Santa Fe, CA) might be a pitcher that just finished his freshman season, but Hurt topped out at 86 mph from a lower arm slot which helped him generate arm side run. He throws easy and the ball comes out clean and will add more velocity as he progresses. His curveball was up to 72 mph and flashed a 75 mph changeup.

Harrison Grow (2017-3B/RHP-Del Mar, CA) Like Hurt, Grow just finished his freshman year and worked his fastball in the 79-81 mph range, topping 82 with some arm side run. He showed a nice feel for an 11-5 curveball which topped at 69 mph and worked low in the zone with both pitches. 

Cameron Deere (2016-3B-Los Angeles, CA) is a well built third baseman with lots of strength and made consistent contact throughout the game for base hits. His first at bat he went with an 86 mph fastball on the outer half and drove it down the right field line for a double. Deere then showed his ability to turn on the ball, creating hard line drive contact to the left-centerfield gap for his second double of the game.

Kenneth Haus (2016-RHP/MIF-Rancho Palos Verdes, CA) and Blake Wagenseller (2017-OF/3B-Poway, CA) both had nice days at the plate picking up two hits apiece. The right-handed hitting Haus collected two singles and Wagenseller picked up an infield single and a nice double. 

Nick Gallardo (2016-1B-San Diego, CA) is a strong 6-foot first baseman who put his strength on display in game action, turning on and squaring up an inside fastball, depositing it over the left field wall for a home run. 

Chris Dunn (2016-OF/1B-Las Vegas, NV) is a strong switch hitting outfielder who showed well from both sides of the plate. He shows a fast bat from the left-side and showed off his strength right-handed, driving the ball the opposite way off the right field fence for a stand up triple. 

Ben Martz (2017-C-Thousand Oaks, CA) A right-handed hitting catcher, Martz picked up a couple hits in the game, including a stand up double to the right-center field gap, squaring the ball up nicely. 


11-Purple vs 12-Red Game Highlights

Adam Medrano (2016 - Azusa, CA) pitched at 86-88 MPH with his fastball from an explosive delivery.  The ball comes out of his hand well and he has good life on his fastball.  Interesting 2016 arm.

Dametri Evans (2015 - Hemet, CA) showed very good raw tools behind the plate with a plus arm.  He has excellent arm strength with good carry.  He has an inside out swing at the plate with leverage at contact.  Very interesting player with good instincts.

Ryan Lefner (2015 - San Juan Capistrano, CA) pitched at 80-84 MPH with his fastball with a balanced delivery.  He also threw an 11/5 curveball with good depth and bite to it.  

Sam Miller (2016 - Carlsbad, CA) pitched at 77-82 MPH with his fastball from a low effort delivery.  He has a long lean projectable build with projectable velocity.  He showed pitchability as well.

Darryck Williams (2015 - Chula Vista, CA) hit a triple to the right center field gap and showed good speed.  He moved well in the outfield and showed fast twitch actions. 

White vs Cardinal High Game Highlights

Jonah Davis (2015 OF, San Diego, CA) showed good bat speed in the game with a line drive swing plane.

Cole Mueller (2016 SS, Solana Beach, CA) had a homerun in the game with a single. He showed lift in his swing with pop.

Connor McCollum (2015 RHP, Huntington Beach, CA) fastball sat 88-90 touched 92 mph. He showed good arm strength on the mound with an explosive fastball.

Carson Angress (2015 RHP, Woodland Hills, CA) showed a good fastball sitting 81-84 mph with a good curveball at 69 mph. 

Pikai Winchester (2015 2B, Kapolei, HI) had a homerun in the game. He showed great bat speed with lift in his swing.

Jared Van Vark (2015 OF, San Diego, CA) had a double in the game.

Christian Hammar (2016 LHP, Riverside, CA) dropped a hammer in the game crushing a homerun. He showed good bat speed with lift in his swing.

Matt Hudgins (2015 - Las Vegas, NV) was very impressive at the plate with 4 hits and 2 home runs.  He is a very physical player and showed good pop to the pull side.  He has a good swing and has interesting hitting tools. 

Keaton Carattini (2018 - Encinitas, CA) pitched at 75-78 MPH with his fastball with good run on it.  He is a very young player and has a lean projectable body.  He threw a hard spinning breaking ball at 71 MPH with some bite.  Interesting young player.

Clayton Dale (2015 - Fallbrook, CA) showed good hitting tools at the plate and hit a hard double to left center field.  He showed some power potential and has bat speed.  

John Feroglia (2016 - Los Altos, CA) showed good defensive instincts and footwork to the baseball.  He also showed interesting hitting tools with a confident approach.

Alex Tisminezky (RHP-2016-Las Vegas, NV) is a well built right-handed pitcher who projects for more velocity as he continues to grow. Throwing from a short arm action, Tisminezky worked in the 80-83 mph range with his fastball and showed a sharp 12-6 curveball up to 68 mph with nice depth to strike out two batters during his outing. 

Jake Munoz (OF/LHP-2016-Lewiston, ID) did a little bit of everything in this afternoons game. His speed really stands out and helps him cover a lot of ground in the outfield and get down the line in a hurry when hitting. He also topped out at 79 mph with his fastball on the mound from a low three-quarter arm slot. 

Matthew Rudick (OF/LHP-2017-San Diego, CA) Like Munoz above, Rudick shined both with the bat, collecting two singles from the left side, and on the mound as he worked in the 83-84 mph with his fastball which leaves his hand very easily and gets downhill well with it. 

Nick Allen (SS-2017-San Diego, CA) stood out defensively for his smooth, advanced actions in the infield with plenty of arm strength across to finish the play.

Joe Fitzhugh (C/OF-2017-Las Vegas, NV) had the biggest day at the plate, lining an outside fastball to the right center field gap before turning on an inside fastball in his second at bat and launched it over the left field wall for a solo home run. 

Blake Sabol (C/OF-2016-Aliso Niguel, CA) shows a fast left-handed bat with plenty of power and lift to his pull side. He also moved well behind the plate with nice arm strength down to second base. 

Benjamin Cutting (LHP-2015-Las Vegas, NV) is a lean left-handed pitcher who topped out at 81 mph with his fastball, coming out of his hand easy and clean. He showed a lot of confidence in his curveball, throwing it in any count and for strikes in the 68-71 mph range with nice 1-7 break. 

Brett Borgogno (SS-2017-Chino Hills, CA) showed very fluid and balanced defensive actions during the course of the game with the ability to complete the play while charging in. He also went 2-3 with a quick swing from the right side and runs very well out of the box. 

Jason Ajamian (1B-2016- Altadena, CA) shows a short path in the box and made an impression early, driving a ball to deep to the centerfield wall, over the fielder's head for a stand up double.

The following players stood out during the last game at Eastlake High School.

Christopher Collins (2015, RHP, Sherman Oaks, GA) had an impressive outing on the mound, sitting 85-88 and topping at 89 with good life and movement.  He had command of three pitches and his slider shows plus potential with late breaking life, his best sliders were in the 76-78 range.  His change up is developing and showed good sink and bore action.  The lean wiry right hander will be fun to watch develop over the summer and fall as his velocity projects.

Evan Germansky (2015, C, 3B, Los Angeles, CA) had a great day at the plate going 3 for 4 showing a short quick swing with good extension.  Has line drive swing plane with some late lift.

Zach Martinez (2015, C/OF, Lakewood, CA) went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 runs batted in for the Steel Team.  Has a nice quick swing and hands work well.

Brandon Posivak (INF, 2016, Los Angeles, CA) showed off some future power potential with a line drive home run to left field using a nice line drive swing plane and lift.

Jake Wilson (2016, LHP, Las Vegas, NV) the BYU committ sat in the low 80's topping out at 84 using a 3 pitch mix to strike out 8.  Has good feel for a change up and 1/7 curveball.  Held velocity through out.

Thomas Savich (2015, 3B/RHP, Vista, CA) used a balanced delivery, and topped at 84 with good arm side run.

Brent Bell (2015, LHP/1B, Fullerton, CA) went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored using a good hitting approach getting the barrel to the ball.

Blake Katsev (2016, 3B, Santa Barbara, CA) collected 2 hits and 3 runs batted in, showing quick hands in the process.

Anthony Marquez (2017, C, Cypress, CA) went 2 for 3 with a double.

Donovan Raskopf (2015, C, Lancaster, CA) went 2 for 3 with a double showing good bat speed in his line drive swing with lift.

Justin Mellano (2015, OF, Fullerton, CA) went 2 for 2 with a double and an inside the park home run when the Centerfielder couldn't make a diving catch on a hard sinking line drive that got to the fence.

2016 RHP Preston Price (Vista, CA) had the game's top velocity, topping out at 85 mph, and faced just one over the minimum, allowing one hit over three scoreless innings of work. 

2015 RHP Ethan Santos (Salinas, CA) also threw three shutout innings and faced just one over the minumum, topping out at 82 mph and striking out three. 

In a game that featured few hits, 2017 1B Ryan Canteneda (San Pedro, CA) had one of the most productive days at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a fielder's choice RBI. 2017 C/RHP Joe Pasquelli (San Diego, CA) also had a single and an RBI and threw a scoreless inning of relief.

The highlight of the game was a long triple off the bat of 2015 OF Tony Ortiz (Olympia, WA) in the 10th inning to drive in a run.

Marcus Calamese (2016 OF, Las Vegas, NV) showed big raw power in his bat with good bat speed and created at leverage at the plate. 

Tyler Durna (2015 1B, Chino Hills, CA) showed a short swing with good bat speed. He has strong hands and gets good extension.

Antonio Ortiz (2015 OF, Olympia, WA) showed good bat speed at the plate with a line drive swing plane.

Mitch Sancier (2015 C, Campbell, CA) showed a quick bat at the plate with good extension through his swing. 

Daniel Luckett (2015 C, El Cajon, CA) showed big power potential at the plate with projected plus bat speed.

Santino Rivera (2017 2B, Chula Vista, CA) showed good bat speed at the plate with a  smooth stroke.

Logan Rukes (2015 OF, Diamond Bar, CA) showed a short swing with some pop in his swing.

Preston Price (2016 OF, Vista, CA) showed an aggressive approach at the plate with power potential.

Zach Gillissie (2017 OF, Norco, CA) barrel stay through the zone well and showed raw power in his bat at the plate.

Jonah Davis (2015 OF,  San Diego, CA) showed a short compact swing at the plate with good bat speed.

Cole Mueller (2016 SS, Solana Beach, CA) generates good bat speed at the plate and the ball comes off his bat well.

Zack Prajzner (2018 SS, Carlsbad, CA) showed a quick bat at the plate and projects well at the plate.

Pikai Winchester (2015 2B, Kapolei, HI) showed a quick bat with power potential at the plate. He showed a smooth stroke from the left side of the plate.

Thomas Savich (2015 3B, Vista, CA) showed good bat speed at the plate. He showed a short simple swing at the plate.

Dylan Tyrer (2015 C, Manhattan Beach, CA) showed a short quick swing with good balance through his swing. 

Jake Wilson (2106 LHP, Las Vegas, NV) showed pop in his bat with great bat speed. He showed great mechanics at the plate.

Louis Tade (2015 OF, Murrieta, CA) generates good bat speed at the plate with good leverage in his swing.

Zach Martinez (2015 C, Lakewood, CA) showed great bat speed at the plate with pop in his bat.

Daniel Heller (2015 1B, Las Vegas, NV) had a double in the game. He showed good bat speed at the plate with a line drive swing plane.

Justin Hooper (2015 - San Roman, CA) was very impressive pitching at 91-93 MPH with his fastball touching 95 MPH twice.  The ball explodes out of his hand and he has a heavy fastball with run to it.  He showed command of his 1/7 curveball at 78 MPH with good bite and depth.  He's a very projectable lefthander who showed why he's one of the top arms in the country.  UCLA commit.

Jonathan Worley (2016 - San Diego, CA) pitched at 81-85 MPH with a long loose arm action.  He threw a tight slider at 78 MPH with hard late movement to it.  Worley has a very long lean projectable body and his velocity projects as well.  Interesting 2016 arm.

Aaron Halpert (2016 - Diamond Bar, CA) swung the bat well and had 2 hits with a double.  He has a short compact swing with a middle of the field approach.  Halpert also showed athletic actions at short stop with quick transfers and release.

Adam Lopez (2016 - Grossmont, CA) had a double, run, and RBI.  He has an aggressive approach with good extension.  

Omar Sanchez (2015 - Winton, CA) showed some hitting tools at the plate and kept his hands inside the ball well in his swing.  He gets the barrel there and he showed bat speed.  Sanchez also showed good receiving and blocking skills behind the plate.  

Clayton Ross (2015 - La Mesa, CA) showed a good swing with bat speed at the plate.  He showed good athleticism at 1B as well. 

Austin Case (2015 - Yorba Linda, CA) had 2 hits with a run and a stolen base.  He has a quick aggressive swing and has a line drive middle of the field approach.  

Josh Hartman (2016 - Rancho Cucamonga, CA) had 2 hits with 2 RBI.  He swings on a line drive plane and makes contact to all fields.

Drew Finley (2015 RHP,  San Diego, CA) pitched two innings for the Cardinal team. His fastball sat 87-90 mph. He struck out 5 batters, he threw from a 3/4 arm slot with great pitching mechanics on the mound.

Kenny Mares (2014 RHP, Del Mar, CA) fastball sat 80-85 mph with a short arm circle, curveball at 72 mph with 11-5 breaking action.

Grant Burton (2018 OF, San Juan Capistrano, CA) had single and a double in the game. He showed a good bat path to the ball. Squared the ball up each time at the plate with quick hands to the ball.

Favian Chavira (2015 OF, Pomona, CA) had a pair of singles in the game with a a run scored. He hit from an open stance at the plate and squared the ball up well.

Jonathan Schiffer (2017 3B, Irvine, CA) had a pair of singles in the game for the cardinal team. He centered the ball up well each time at the plate.

Roberto Baldenebro (2015 RHP, Hacienda Heights, CA) fastball sat 82-83 mph. He showed a good splitter at 77 mph. Struck out 5 batters.

Anthony Acosta (2016 RHP, Simi Valley, CA) fastball sat 79-82 mph with short arm action and very good command. Curveball at 73 mph had 11-5 breaking action.

Marcos Campos (2015 MIF, Upland, CA) had a single and a homerun in the game. He showed good bat speed at the plate with lift in his swing.

Kyle Fujisaki (2015 3B, Ranco Palos Verdes, CA) had a triple in the game. He showed good balance through his swing with loose hands.
