Roch Cholowsky (2023 SS, Chandler, AZ) took a professional round of BP, hitting well-struck liners across the field. Cholowsky has loose hands with a clean stroke free of noise and projects for a pretty solid hit tool.
Gavin Gallaher (2023 SS, Apex, NC) has some projectable power and gets out in front and leverages well. There's plenty of bat speed and he hit some lofted fly balls to the pull side that should translate to power at maturity.
Landon Stripling (2023 2B, Lawrenceville, GA) can turn on balls nicely and does a nice job at getting his hips and lower half into the swing. There's good bat speed and impact potential as the swing covers the plate nicely.
Zach Wadas (2023 1B, Phoenix, AZ) has some pretty substantial power to the pull side that he showed in BP (and later in game). He's got big bat speed and lift and the strength in the build allows for significant leveraging of the front side to really create that lift.
Macon Winslow (2023 C, Hertford, NC) throws his hands directly to the ball and keeps it efficient as he moves uphill through contact. There's good power to the pull side and the compact path allows for repeatability and barrel skill.
Jarren Purify (2023 SS, Detroit, MI) shows fast hands with a pretty direct swing that he can turn over to pull effectively. He projects for additional power but did a nice job at finding the barrel with some impact behind it on a consistent basis.
Maxwell Clark (2023 OF, Franklin, IN) took a professional round and showed off the excellent bat speed and power potential. The path is smooth and repeatable and his barrel feel is excellent as the ball really jumps off the barrel.
Davis Rivers (2023 C, Waller, TX) showed big pull side juice from the left side with a tight turn and plenty of physicality and bat speed. The swing translated well in game with the impact being the big draw of the profile here.
Andrew Wiggins (2023 OF, Indianapolis, IN) showed as much power as anyone in the event with pretty substantial present juice to the pull side. He's got big bat speed and creates some explosiveness at contact as the power upside here is very enticing.
Aidan Miller (2023 SS, Trinity, FL) has big time power from the right side with plus bat speed and his hands work really well through contact. There's good rhythm and the power plays to all fields as he hit some of the furthest balls of the round.
Blake Mitchell (2023 C, Sinton, TX) showed an easy, consistent swing that plays to all parts of the field with impact behind it. There's good lift to the swing with plenty of present power and projection.
Parker Picot (2023 OF, Rochester Hills, MI) has an excellent combination of strength and speed as he ran well and hit two bombs during the round. There's a ton of bat speed and upside here as in terms of batted ball data he was impressive.
AJ Ewing (2023 SS, Springboro, OH) showed really good bat speed with plenty of barrel whip and a very high ceiling. Ewing swings hard and has really good carry off the barrel along with accuracy.
Dylan Cupp (2023 SS, Cedartown, GA) showed loose hands with plenty of whip to the barrel. It's a compact stroke with a true all fields approach and lots of line drives.
Dillon Head (2023 OF, Glenwood, IL) showed really impressive bat speed and the ability to turn the barrel over and show power to the pull side. It's an explosive swing with power and the ability to manipulate the barrel too.
Tai Peete (2023 SS, Tyrone, GA) opened up and crushed some long fly balls to the pull side. Peete hit multiple home runs and showed a good blend of power-oriented and contact-oriented swings.
Nikolas Sanders (2023 C, Waco, TX) showed some big power during BP with a big leg lift that he times up to really leverage the front side and launch balls. The power is prodigious especially from the catcher position.
Roman Martin (2023 SS, Whittier, CA) has really good hand-eye coordination and does a nice job at barreling the ball up to both gaps. There's already power and the frame suggests it could be big at maturity.
Gavin Grahovac (2023 OF, Orange, CA) is another polished hitter who can work the ball to both sides of the field with intent. It's not a noisy start and Grahovac can manipulate the barrel nicely.
Ryder Helfrick (2023 C, Discovery Bay, CA) has plus bat speed and can really impact the ball to the pull side. There's lift and leverage to the swing and the power upside is vast.
Brandon Winokur (2023 SS, Huntington Beach, CA) has very long limbs and uses them well to create leverage to the pull side. It's an athletic swing with plenty of bat speed and enormous power upside.
Drew Burress (2023 OF, Perry, GA) has plus bat speed and ideal loft to his stroke, getting the barrel out front consistently on time and with out-front impact, showing off legitimate power pull-side with backspin and carry.
Colin Houck (2023 SS, Lilburn, GA) has a very low-effort stroke with equally easy bat speed that produces substantial power to all fields. His upside as a power-hitting infielder is excellent, and with more strength this power will be even bigger.
Trenton Lyons (2023 C, Memphis, TN) has a unique profile overall given his defensive versatility, and he showed really well from the right side of the plate in BP with a loose stroke that has above-average bat speed and very good power projection as he continues to mature.
Landen Maroudis (2023 RHP, Largo, FL) is a noted two-way prospect with good strength to his frame and a loose, low-effort swing that produces above-average bat speed and easy power to the pull-side. There's projection on his frame and he could have serious power in time.
Stone Russell (2023 SS, Bradenton, FL) separates well creating stretch and was very consistent with his balance and timing. Above-average bat speed with present strength to his frame gives him present power to the pull-side with projection for more.
Luis Castillo (2023 OF, Talbott, TN) has excellent physicality with huge raw power to match, working the middle of the field with big carry and exit velocities to match. His power upside is substantial.
Braden Holcomb (2023 SS, Ocoee, FL) has huge strength to him and that strength is always evident when he swings, with above-average bat speed allowing him to get the barrel out front consistently and really drive balls with backspin and carry. His power projection is better than plus.
Bristol Carter (2023 OF, Oak Ridge, NC) has an athletic look and athletic swing, with plus bat speed and very fast hands that allow him to repeat a clean path and catch the ball out front, with present power pull-side and projection for more.
Ashton Larson (2023 OF, Overland Park, KS) has a very direct path and fast hands, whipping the barrel well and rotating really well into his swing. He consistently barreled the ball pull-side with authority and has power in that direction too.
Samuel Stafura (2023 SS, Mohegan Lake, NY) has very good balance to his swing and consistently displays above-average bat speed as well, consistently lining hard barrels on lower launches to all fields.
Nazzan Zanetello (2023 3B, Florissant, MO) has very loose wrists and lots of twitch to his swing, with plus bat speed and feel for using the whole park with gap-to-gap impact. His power really projects as he continues to mature.
Antonio Anderson (2023 SS, Atlanta, GA) is a switch-hitter with hitting tools from both sides, with big strength and bat speed combos from either side and the type of power upside that projects to 30 HR power at physical maturity.
Max Kaufer (2023 C, Medford, NJ) has very good strength to his frame and uses that strength with a compact, direct stroke that allows him to really impact the ball to all fields. He did that consistently in his round.
Lee Ellis (2023 SS, White Plains, MD) has a very projectable build with plenty of twitch to his swing, staying on plane well and getting the barrel out front, consistently hitting the ball in BP and projecting well for more impact as he fills out.
AJ Gracia (2023 OF, Monroe, NJ) has lots of projection on his frame to go along with quality lefthanded bat speed, giving him very real power projection long term. He was consistent in this round with hard barrels pull-side with some lift to the path.
George Baker (2023 C, Waldorf, MD) has huge bat speed from the left side with lots of intent and lots of lift, getting the ball into the air with authority and really launching balls pull-side as a result.
Kaden Irving (2023 3B, Gautier, MS) has been hitting bombs all summer in PG events and showed off that power in BP, absolutely losing a couple balls pull-side with huge bat speed and strength with the ability to repeat his move.
Antonio Perrotta (2023 1B, Rockville, MD) stands out for his lefthanded power and certainly showed it off here, generating huge loft and backspin pull-side with plus power in that direction and even more coming as he refines his path.
Isaiah Drake (2023 OF, Atlanta, GA) is ultra twitchy and shows that athleticism in his swing, generating plus bat speed from the left side with legitimate power to pull, and his body projects to add some strength as well which should add to that power ceiling.
Levi Jones (2023 3B, Portland, OR) stays connected really well through his stroke and has above-average bat speed with good hands and hips, hitting the ball hard on a line consistently with a whole-field approach.
Hideki Prather (2023 C, Oakland, CA) has a very athletic swing with a clean launch and plenty of bat speed, doing a great job consistently hitting the ball out front and generating jump on a line.
Eric Bitonti (2023 SS, Hesperia, CA) has easy bat speed and easy jump off the barrel with projection on his frame, an easy mix to project huge power onto. He can backspin it out with loft pull-side at present as well as drive it into the oppo gap.
Will Gasparino (2023 OF, Los Angeles, CA) is a very long and lean righthanded hitter with very easy bat speed and ideal loft, generating big exit velocities pull-side and to center, with absolutely enormous power upside long term.
Collin Priest (2023 1B, Tavares, FL) stays compact with his stroke and generates above-average bat speed, which combined with his pure feel for the barrel and great strength gives him excellent power pull-side with an all around offensive impact.
Raffaele Velazquez (2023 C, Garden Grove, CA) put on a show during BP, with plus lefthanded bat speed and a very whippy stroke, swinging the bat with intent and absolutely hammering balls pull-side with huge loft and carry, showing easy plus pop in that direction.
Arjun Nimmala (2023 SS, Valrico, FL) has lightning bolts for hands and creates outstanding bat speed and barrel whip through the zone. The ball comes off his barrel so easily with outstanding carry to all fields.
George Lombard (2023 SS, Pinecrest, FL) has been tearing it up all summer on the tournament circuit and his BP round today reflected both his talent and the confidence that he's hitting with well. It was a professional round with a low tension easy swing with lots of bat speed and loose extension.
Kevin McGonigle (2023 SS, Aldan, PA) has long been considered one of the top hitters in the class and the reasons were obvious today. He barreled up almost every ball with a simple but very strong and controlled swing.
Ariel Antigua (2023 SS, Lake Worth, FL) isn't the biggest player at the showcase but he has some explosive bat speed and lots more power than you'd expect out of his 5-8 frame. He fires his hands and hips hard and was consistently on time and barreled up.
Nathanael Coupet (2023 OF, Boynton Beach, FL) has a big move into contact that can leave him mid-timed occasionally but when his barrel is in the right place there is big power and carry there.
Antonio Jimenez (2023 SS, Miami Lakes, FL) is a switch-hitter with a different approach from either side both both work well. His right handed swing is shorter with faster and more direct hands but his left handed swing has more lift and extension through the ball. Both have plenty of raw bat speed.
Jake Kulikowski (2023 OF, Trinity, FL) has good strength in his frame and a simple left handed approach that resulted in barrel after barrel, mostly working gap to gap with lots of jump and carry.
Walker Martin (2023 SS, Eaton, CO) has nice hip action to drive his left handed swing and lots of projection in his 6-2/185 frame. He went gap to gap with strong barrels and lots of carry.
Anthony Huezo (2023 OF, Palmdale, CA) has a loose and whippy left handed swing that really projects well. He filled up right centerfield with hard hit line drives and even flashed lift and power on a couple of swings.
Andrew Duncan (2023 OF, Dunedin, FL) is a very twitchy and projectable athlete with a short and very consistent swing. He peppered the middle of the field with line drive after line drive the entire round.
Daniel Cuvet (2023 3B, Fort Lauderdale, FL) may have taken the most impressive round of Friday night, showing easy power from his big 6-4/215 build and his exceptional hands. He has easy pull power and left many balls in the seats but his most impressive swing might have been the one that went off the top of the centerfield wall at 404 feet.
Brayden Bakes (2023 OF, Algonquin, IL) has lots of compact present strength that he uses well to drive the ball gap to gap with lots of jump. He turns hard and tight on the ball to generate his left handed bat speed.
Edward Phelps III (2023 3B, Kennesaw, GA) hits under control with such a smooth and easy swing that it can make his plus bat speed and raw power look deceptive. He's one of the most promising right handed hitters in the class.
Alfonsin Rosario (2023 OF, Newark, NJ) threw 101 from the outfield but his batting practice round was more impressive. He crushed 4-5 balls deep into the left field seats and even beyond and made it look so easy that it didn't look like he was hitting on a major league field.
Zion Rose (2023 C, Chicago, IL) has a very short and simple line drive swing that uses his very fast hands to drive the barrel. When he learns to get his strong and fast twitch lower half involved more, he's going to be launching some balls.
Jacob Brown (2023 3B, Ann Arbor, MI) dominated the baseball on almost every swing his entire round, showing big power and carry to left centerfield but even more impressively, staying extremely consistent in his timing and swing.
John Lopez (2023 C, Salinas, PR) looks a bit like Jose Altuve and he swings the bat the same way as the Astros standout second baseman. He barrel up every ball with carry to the middle of the field from an aggressive and well timed swing approach.
Darnell W Parker Jr (2023 SS, Carrollton, VA) has fast and accurate hands and a quick and tight hip turn, two very positive things when it comes to creating bat speed. He had a very strong round off pull side line drives with some carry.
Jaden Bastian (2023 OF, Winter Garden, FL) launched a first pitch home run, which is one of the rarest things one will see in any batting practice. He has a hover and fire approach with good strength and lots of bat speed.
Samuel Parker (2023 1B, Marietta, GA) is a big and strong 6-4/210 left handed hitter with tons of lift and power in his swing. He can get out front and around the ball at times but could develop foul pole to foul pole power when he matures and learns to stay behind the ball.
